At Ladybug Playschool, we believe that children learn through play and that learning should be fun! Every day brings a new adventure - a chance to learn and grow.
Playschool is a place of growth and learning. Ladybug Playschool provides your child with the socialization skills and desire to learn that will prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. In addition to strengthening socialization skills — how to compromise, be respectful of others, and problem-solve — playschool provides a place where your child can gain a sense of self, explore, play with her peers, and build confidence. |
Our Philosophy

At Ladybug Playschool, we believe that children learn through play, and that learning should be fun! The program is designed to meet the individual social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of the children. Children learn through play and working within this philosophy, children work towards and/or master skills that give them the readiness to move on from the playschool experience with a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, initiative and self-direction.
Playschool is a great place for your child to begin social learning. But choosing when and if your child is ready for Playschool is a big decision. According to Deanna Mascle, a writer for playschool education, "Preschool learning is the foundation for formal education, it can boost your child's self esteem, and it can give your child the edge they need for lifelong success." |

Ladybug Playschool Association

Ladybug Playschool Association is incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta. We are a non-profit, parent co-operative whereby all excess funds are put back into the playschool. This means, that with the exception of the teacher, the parents of the children who attend operate and manage all aspects of the playschool. Parent participation on the Executive Board, on field trips and during special events, and your assistance on roster days are critical to the operation of the playschool. Your participation also gives you the opportunity to watch your child grow, learn and make new friends. Parent cooperative means a fun and enriching experience for all!
