Jayme MacDougall, B.Ed - Lead Teacher
“I believe that education is a lifelong process and the building blocks of learning are developed in the early years of school. I feel that early childhood educators have one of the most important jobs because they are preparing children for the world of learning. It is important for each child to be able to explore, learn and grow at their own pace. I will support the children with an enriched environment that will enhance each child’s emotional, social, creative, physical, language and cognitive development. I will be a positive role model creating a classroom environment that is safe, warm and nurturing. I value working in partnership with parents/families to provide the best possible learning opportunities for the children in Ladybug Playschool. I believe that education is a gift that lasts a lifetime.” Jayme is a Certified Teacher with a Bachelor of Education and minor in Early Childhood Education. Jayme taught with Parkland School Division for ten years and in that time, she taught Kindergarten and upper elementary. Jayme has been teaching at Ladybug Playschool since 2016. Besides teaching, another passion of Jayme’s is dancing. She has been a preschool dance instructor for many years. |

Keely Yates, Level 3 ECE - Assistant Teacher
Learning through play is the foundation of all my work with children. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, my Level 3 certification, and have been working with children my entire life. I bring both my training and my heart into everything I do. I am also a proud mom to two boys who are my world — and both of them attended this very Playschool — so being here now as an assistant teacher means so much. Working with children isn’t just a job for me; it truly feels like a calling. I love watching their curiosity come to life every day, supporting their growing independence, and creating a space where they feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. It’s a joy and a privilege to learn, laugh, and grow alongside your children each day, and I’m so grateful to be part of their early learning journey here. |
